Cooper Tire supports 2013 CarFest

Friday 26 July 2013

Cooper Tire has announced its support of this year’s CarFest, the family car festival made famous by BBC Radio 2 DJ, Chris Evans, which runs over two weekends in August.
Cooper will play host to the CarFest paddock, which is set to feature an exciting line-up of rare cars, from supercars to one-off vintage classics. Visitors to the event will have the chance to get up close and personal to the multi-million-pound paddock as part of a fun-filled family day out.
As part of its support of the event, which is now in its second year, Cooper will also have a stand within the paddock. The manufacturer will embrace the fun element of the weekend, which caters for car lovers big and small, with a free prize draw to win a set of Cooper tyres as well as goody bags for families.
Cooper is also set to showcase its extensive product range on site, with personnel on-hand to offer advice and insight to CarFest visitors.
CarFest, which raises money for the BBC Children in Need charity, runs over two weekends and two venues in August.
CarFest North will be held at Oulton Park circuit in Cheshire, a venue visited annually by the Cooper Tires British Formula 3 Series, over the weekend of August 2-4. Over 100 cars are expected to take to the track in their various categories to take part in a sprint race at the Cheshire venue.
High-adrenaline track action remains a key theme at CarFest South, which will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend at Laverstoke Park Farm in Hampshire.
Visitors to the southern meeting will be treated to a spectacular hillclimb event; extended to double its 2012 length, the hillclimb course will welcome the likes of the McLaren MP4-12C and historic Formula 1 cars such as the Lotus Judd and the six-wheel March 2-4-0.
Sarah McRoberts, Marketing Communications Manager for Cooper Tire Europe, said it made ‘perfect sense’ for Cooper to support CarFest in 2013, “CarFest was hugely successful in its inaugural year – it’s a fantastic event for a great cause and it made perfect sense for us to be involved this year.
“With a significant emphasis on motorsport, it’s an event which is in-tune with the Cooper brand, and  attracting petrolheads and families alike, it’s the ideal opportunity to bring the Cooper brand to a wider audience.”
Tickets for CarFest South are now sold out, but tickets to CarFest North are still available. For more information, please visit
